Christmas is an amazing time of year filled with love, joy, good cheer and laughing children. Yet it can become very stressful once you start looking at the bills piling up from increased grocery purchases for cookies and holiday gatherings, buying presents for all your loved ones, sending large amounts of Christmas cards, decorating and more. I have personally experienced years where the stress of buying a perfect Christmas has ruined the season for myself and my family.
But it does not have to be that way!
All this week I would like to share with you some of my favorite frugal tips to bring out the magic of Christmas without breaking your budget. There are so many ideas on saving money through the holidays that I could not even begin to touch upon each one. Not to mention the millions more that I have not thought of myself. So it is link-up time!
For the rest of the week, I encourage you to link up your favorite frugal Christmas posts and recipe ideas. Together, let’s build a frugal and enchanted Christmas season!

To save money this year, I took my son to the after-Christmas sales last year and let him pick out a couple gifts at deep discounts that he could give to family this year.

Thanks for sharing this list of your discoveries! I especially love the ideas to re-use Christmas cards – we keep all ours and use them to make decorations, or new cards and gift tags each year – and have lots of fun doing it! I really love Christmas, and like doing lots of simple things with my kids – and now we have some new ideas too:)

I love these ideas. This Christmas season is going to be very tough for the budget so it is great to get some ideas of how to stretch my money and still have a wonderful holiday season with my friends and family.
